Local shuttles

Local shuttles services provide coverage to otherwise unserved areas and meet passengers’ specific mobility needs.

Local shuttles, operated with “minibuses” are an alternative to the RATP’s core services.

  • The Charonne service, serving the 20th arrondissement, began in November 2004
  • The Bièvre • Montsouris service, created in December 2005, passes through part of the 13th and 14th arrondissements.
  • The Ney–Flandre minibus service, which is 8 km long, serves areas of the 18th and 19th arrondissements (the Claude Bernard and Pajol mixed development zones and the northern sector of Porte de La Chapelle). It offers connections with 4 metro lines and 10 bus lines.

These services run every day, from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. during the week and 7:30 p.m. at weekends. The minibuses used are accessible to people with limited mobility, with long picture windows, a panoramic roof and air conditioning. Perfectly suited to narrow streets, these vehicles run on a biofuel which reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 25%.

The Audonienne, Saint-Ouen

The local council of Saint-Ouen asked RATP to add to existing transport provision and extend coverage to the old quarter of the town. So it was that the Audonienne was born, replacing the old Saint-Ouen local service, the TUSO, which had been created in 1983 to provide transport coverage for the outer areas of the town.

  • 30 stops, four of which have connections with bus lines and two with line 13 of the metro.
  • Services run from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the week and from 8:10 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. on Sundays.
  • 10-seater vehicles with a total capacity of 23 passengers.
  • More than 275,000 journeys a year.

Service Urbain de Boulogne-Billancourt

The Service Urbain de Boulogne Billancourt (SUBB) is a local transport service operated by RATP since 2006. The service is regularly used by the town’s senior citizens and secondary school pupils.

  • Two routes (north and south), with 34 stops in total.
  • A bus every 15-20 minutes.
  • 16-seater vehicles with a total capacity of 44 passengers.
  • More than 810,000 journeys per year
