Filming procedure

Our film location business is aimed at professionals. It is managed by the RATP’s communication department.

Filming on the metro, RER and tram network:

In order to ensure that film shoots are conducted in the safest possible conditions, a safety plan must be signed with the line concerned for each filming request:

The following documents are required for this plan:

  • Insurance certificate
  • K-bis form (certificate attesting to the existence of the company) dating back less than 3 months
  • Authority to sign
  • List of personnel
  • List of equipment
  • Address and telephone number of the labour inspectorate

Address and telephone number of the occupational medicine department

How to film on RATP premises:

You must submit your request three or four weeks before you wish to start filming. Your application must include the script and mention the type of work you are producing (short or full-length film/photo/advert, etc.) the kind of location you need (bus, metro, RER, tram, building), the technical setup you wish to use (cameras, lighting, dolly, etc.) and the date(s) on which you wish to film.

The RATP team studies the feasibility of your request. It may provide assistance in finding you a filming location on the network and in choosing the backdrop for your shoot. It then draws up an estimate based on the services requested, which, once approved, will give rise to a contract.

The RATP takes care of organising and coordinating filming at the chosen location(s) and assists the production teams during filming.

The date of the shoot will be subject to scheduling constraints and supervisor availability.
