Validity

The Paris Visite travel card is valid for 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive days in zones 1-3 or 1-6 (Please note: each day begins at 05:30 and ends at 05:30 the following day).

Depending on which zones you select, Paris Visite allows you to travel on:

Puce verte metro lines;
Puce verte RER lines (RATP and SNCF);
Puce verte Ile-de-France bus lines (RATP and OPTILE), except those circulating on Jetbus, Allobus Roissy CDG, tourist excursion and Air France networks;
Puce verte the Orlyval line (linking Orly Airport to the RER B);
Puce verte the Montmartre funicular.

Please note: Paris Visite is not valid for travel on the Voguéo river shuttle.

Example: the La Défense and Stade de France stations are located in zone 3.

Where can I purchase the travel card?

You can purchase your Paris Visite travel card from ticket offices and automatic ticket machines.

At a ticket office you will be given a magnetic ticket and the accompanying non-transferable card. However, should you make your purchase at a ticket machine you will only receive the magnetic ticket. You should then request the non-transferable card at a nearby ticket office or information counter. Without this non-transferable card you will be travelling in breach of the law.

 

  

What you must do before using the travel card for the first time

In order for your Paris Visite travel card to be valid you must write your first and last names on the non-transferable card prior to first use. Make sure that you also write the serial number of the card on the magnetic ticket and, if it has not already been done, add the start and finish dates of the period of validity. Once they are named, the ticket and card are personal and non-transferable.

How do I use the travel card when travelling?

Puce verte be in possession of the magnetic ticket and the accompanying non-transferable card, both of which must be produced for inspection upon request.
Puce verte validate your ticket when entering the metro, bus, tram and RER, as well as any time that you come across an inspection machine whilst you are travelling.
