Each year, over fifty film shoots take place on the RATP’s networks.
Cinema loves RATP. The metro, RER, bus or tram are often essential locations for directors and screenwriters shooting in Paris. Showing the city’s public transport network is like showing the Eiffel Tower or the Champs-Elysées – it helps to situate the film in time and space. Over fifty short and full-length films are shot in the RATP’s networks each year.
It is noticeable that the vast majority of directors and screenwriters who set their films in Paris shoot scenes on public transport. All cinematic genres are represented: period dramas, comedies, action movies, love stories and more.
RATP is regularly approached by production companies wanting to shoot their movies or adverts in the RATP’s networks.
