Since 21 June 2018, a new entrance has allowed direct access to Paris Bercy Bourgogne - Pays d'Auvergne SNCF station for connecting passengers. Located in rue de Bercy, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, it meets the challenges of increased passenger numbers resulting from the district’s popularity, but also those of line in the context of its extension to Mairie de Saint-Ouen (planned in 2020) and to Orly airport (planned in 2024).
It is also a response to increasing passenger numbers on line 14 and to new standards relating to the evacuation of all passengers in the event of an emergency.
The signature of an agreement between the state and the Île-de-France region has made it possible to finance the additional facilities required for this entrance, as close as possible to the SNCF station:
- extension of the corridor,
- installation of three lifts,
- development and adaptation of equipment for an entrance from rue Corbineau.
Upgrades at Bercy station continue: the latest development work will allow lifts to be brought into service soon.
