“Botticelli: artist and designer”, at the Jacquemart-André museum

Until 24 January 2022, the Jacquemart-André museum celebrates the creative genius of Sandro Botticelli by exhibiting approximately forty works by this elegant painter, accompanied with works from his Florentine contemporaries for whom he was a remarkable influence. We are partners of the exhibition.

Botticelli (1445 – 1510) was one of the greatest artists of Florence, his career bearing witness to the influence and profound changes that transformed the city, notably through Botticelli’s relationship with the Medici family. Hailed as one of the most illustrious Renaissance painters, Botticelli is presented here in his role as a creator, but also as an entrepreneur and master.
“Botticelli: artist and designer” is the first exhibition on the artist in France since the 2003 exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg. The work is displayed chronologically and thematically in order to emphasize Botticelli’s personal stylistic development, the connections between his work and the culture of his time, as well as his influence on Florentine artists.

This remarkable exhibition complemented with works from prestigious museums from across the world will fascinate admirers of one of the greatest masters of the Italian Renaissance and the history of art!
We are partners of the exhibition.
