Paris Plages is back from 8 July, 2023. The programme gives pride of place to free cultural and sporting activities: exhibitions, sports lessons, games to try, an outdoor library, etc.
You can relax in a deckchair in the shade of a parasol on the banks of the Seine (city centre) and the Bassin de la Villette (19th arrondissement).
On the banks of the Seine:
With books and comics on loan as well as giant games, table football and water misting systems, outdoor libraries allow the youngest visitors to have fun while staying cool. And for adults, tai chi, Swedish gymnastics and pétanque classes are on offer.
Opening hours: every day, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
At the Bassin de la Villette:
In the 19th arrondissement, enjoy the giant Paris Plages swimming area! Located at the Quai de Loire on the Ourcq canal, it has 3 pools of different depths to suit accompanied children, people with reduced mobility, and amateur or expert swimmers.
Around the canal, many activities are on offer: canoeing and kayaking, kayak polo, stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boats, water bikes, table football, tai chi, etc., along with outdoor libraries with comics on loan. For children aged 3 to 7, Ludo Plages offers trampolines and other activities. Meanwhile, adults can learn break-dancing or ballroom dancing.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to midnight.
