2021 summer works in Île-de-France: infrastructure maintenance and upgrading are continuing on the RATP and SNCF networks

For Île-de-France Mobilités, RATP and SNCF Réseau, the maintenance and upgrading of rail transport infrastructures are a priority. The two companies are therefore investing heavily every year alongside Île-de-France Mobilités, the Île-de-France region and the French government to maintain, upgrade and develop the Île-de-France rail network. Trains are renewed, and major works are conducted on the various lines to guarantee safety and reliability. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, works are continuing over the summer to upgrade the Île-de-France transport network and make it more reliable and comfortable. The comfort and safety of the passengers who use Île-de-France public transport every day are absolute priorities for Île-de-France Mobilités, RATP and SNCF Réseau.
We are therefore conducting ambitious maintenance, upgrading and development works throughout the year.
This year, approximately 2 billion euros have been invested for the SNCF network in Île-de-France. RATP has invested 2.2 billion euros (when including the investments carried out on behalf of SGP) for upgrades and maintenance across the entire network: RER, Transilien, metro and tram lines, as well as stations.
