This summer once again, track renewal work requires a total traffic interruption on RER lines A and C.
On RER line A, traffic will be interrupted between La Défense and Nation, and between Maisons-Laffitte and Poissy, from July 28th to August 26th inclusive. Development works in Cergy-Le Haut will also require a total interruption in traffic on RER line A and Transilien line L between Cergy-Saint-Christophe and Cergy-Le Haut, from July 14th to September 2nd inclusive. Like last year, Transilien line L from Paris Saint-Lazare will exceptionally be extended to Poissy station during the entire closure of RER line A.
On RER line C, traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Javel and between Paris Austerlitz and Avenue Henri Martin, from July 15th to August 25th inclusive.
In order to offer you the best possible assistance during the works, RATP, SNCF and Ile-de-France Mobilités will provide you with an enhanced transport offer on several lines.
This summer, during the four weeks of works on the central section of RER line A, up to 400 people will be mobilised 24/7 to renew 2.2 km of track and replace two switching systems.
The goal of the RER line A track renewal work is to face the increase in traffic (+20% over 10 years) and ensure the safety of travellers as well as the reliability of the infrastructures. Next year, the summer works will give way to closures during nights with extended service and weekends for the second phase of works, which will take place from 2019 to 2021.
