What card is used to load the Navigo monthly and weekly travel pass?

Navigo monthly and weekly travel passes can be loaded on a personalised Navigo card or a Découverte Navigo card.

  • The Navigo travel card is only available for persons who live or work in the Île-de-France region. It is provided free of charge and is personalised with an ID photo. You may obtain a Navigo travel card immediately at one of our points of sale (Comptoir Club) or retail agencies, or with a 3-week delay via the website Navigo.fr. Pick up an application form in our metro and RER stations, or contact the Navigo agency.
    The Navigo travel card can also be used to load the Navigo Solidarité travel pass (monthly or weekly) as well as the the Navigo Gratuité and Améthyste travel passes. Travel cards can be recharged at our automatic vending machines and at our ticket desks (metro, RER and tramway stations, and at authorised retailers). If your travel card is lost or stolen, it can be replaced immediately at an agency, regardless of the travel pass used, for an 8 euro replacement fee.
  • The Navigo Découverte travel card can be used by anyone (with no obligation to live or work in the Île-de-France region). Obtain your Découverte card immediately in all our metro and RER stations or from an RATP authorised retailer. Personal data provided by the cardholder is not kept in the RATP customer database. The Navigo Découverte travel card costs 5 euros. The Découverte travel card is nominative and has an ID photo (25x30mm format). It is used to load Navigo monthly and weekly travel passes. If your Découverte card is lost or stolen, you must purchase a new Découverte card and travel pass.
