Brazil in the spotlight
For the 2025 edition of Paris Plages, which will take place from July 5 to August 31, 2025, relations between France and Brazil will be at the centre of several events. The festivities will be held on the banks of the Seine, at the Bassin de la Villette, and along the Canal Saint-Martin.
Among the main activities:
- Three photography exhibitions will allow the public to learn about Amazonian identity and the daily life of indigenous communities from July 5 to August 31, 2025: "Xingu," by Maureen Bisilliat, will be on display on the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin and in the Jardin Villemin (Paris 10th arrondissement); "Amazonie – La vie au bord du fleuve" (Amazonia – Life on the river) by Luiz Braga on the Quai des Célestins (Paris 4th arrondissement) and "Un nouveau paysage, un Brésil inconnu" (A new landscape, an unknown Brazil) by João Farkas on the Quai de l'Hôtel de Ville (Paris 4th arrondissement)
- Six screenings of Brazilian films on the banks of the Seine, from July 31 to August 2, 2025
- A tasting of Brazilian cuisine will be offered to the public from July 12 to August 20, 2025, at the Hôtel de Ville (Paris 4th arrondissement)
You can take part in many other Paris Plages 2025 events, such as:
- An exhibition entitled "From Paris to Belém," dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement with COP21, is open at the Hôtel de Ville (Paris 4th arrondissement) until December 13, 2025
- Swimming in the Seine from July 5 to August 31, 2025: at Bras Marie (Paris Centre), Bras de Grenelle (Paris 15th arrondissement), and Quai de Bercy. (Paris 12th arrondissement)
- Access to many sports activities on the place de la Concorde (Paris 8th arrondissement): climbing, BMX, 3x3 basketball, and more
