Summary

Packages and luggage are the responsibility of their owners and must not be left unattended.

Packets, bags or luggage that you can carry on your own are authorized, as long as you do not hinder other passengers and their movements, even in busy areas and RATP vehicles.

  • The following items in particular are accepted subject to the reservations set out above:
  • Long packages, which must be carried vertically (e.g. skis).
  • Strollers, preferably folded.
  • In all vehicles, unfolded strollers must be secured with the brakes on.
  • Scooters and bicycles, only on Metro and RER trains, on condition that they can be folded and remain in the owner's hands at all times.
  • It is forbidden to attach bicycles or scooters to vehicle equipment.
  • Unfolded bicycles are only allowed on the RER from Monday to Friday, except between 6.30am and 9am, and 4.30pm and 7pm, and all day on weekends and public holidays in the designated space on the train.

Carrying or transporting objects, packages, bags or luggage that may be dangerous, inconvenient or inconvenient for passengers due to their nature, quantity or inadequate packaging (gas bottles, flammable products, sharp objects, unfolded scooters, unfolded bicycles, furniture, household appliances, bulky suitcases in quantities too large for one person, etc.) is prohibited and punishable by a fixed penalty of €150.

On buses:

  • A maximum of two unfolded strollers in standard and articulated buses (12m and 18m), a single unfolded stroller in reduced-gauge buses (midibus and minibus).
  • Folded strollers board through the front door of the bus.
  • Unfolded strollers may enter through the central bus door, subject to the driver's approval and validation of the ticket.
