Preselecting job applicants

The human resources team will study your job application and pre-select eligible applicants by comparing your profile with the selected job profile. If your application is selected, you will be asked to take a series of recruitment tests.

Passing the recruitment tests

The HR team will ask you to take aptitude tests and a personality inventory. The results will be used to evaluate your application in relation to the selected position. The team will present the company and the selected position.

Job interviews

A recruitment manager will meet with you to evaluate your aptitude, professional qualities, personality and motivation for joining the RATP group and the selected position.

For certain positions, an operational manager will attend the interviews as well. You will be notified of their decision at the end of the interview.

Medical check-up

If you receive a favourable recommendation for recruitment, you will be asked to have a medical check-up in connection with the selected position.

Signing your job contract

If you are given a favourable recommendation for recruitment, and your medical check-up shows that you are apt for the position, the human resources department will give you a job contract to sign and will provide you with all the information on your rights and obligations.

You will then enter a complete integration programme.

Initial training and starting work

If you have chosen a job that pertains to driving, maintenance, sales or security: during the first year, you will work under the responsibility of a designated staff member who is in charge of transmitting their knowledge and know how. You will begin your career path with both the theoretical (except in maintenance) and practical training necessary to exercise your new position.

First-year job monitoring

In your first year, you will meet regularly with your direct manager. Review meetings will be held after 3, 6 and 9 months to monitor your progress and adaptation, and to set up any corrective measures if necessary. At the end of the first year, a meeting is held to confirm your commissioning and effective hiring.

Over the course of your first year, training sessions will be proposed to help you learn more about the RATP Group, about specific aspects of your profession, and to explore all the different contributions you can make to further the group’s development.

In your first year, you will meet regularly with your direct manager, with formal meetings after 3, 6 and 9 months. These review meetings are used to touch base, and to evaluate and monitor how well you are adapting to your responsibilities.

Three months after you start work, you will participate in a cross-functional training module to acquire a thorough understanding of the company.

It is important to know the strategic orientations of the RATP Group, to better understand the sense of its actions and its employees. This session is also an occasion for you to build a network of relations within the company.
