The RATP Poetry Grand Prize is back! From March 10 to April 13, 2026, RATP invites all amateur poets, regardless of age, to pick up their pen and share their love of words by taking part in its major poetry competition.

The Travellers’ Grand Prize

As in the 2025 edition, the three usual Grand Prizes — “Children,” “Youth,” and “Adults” — will be joined by the Travellers’ Grand Prize, awarded through an online public vote.

Starting 11 May 2026, the public will be invited to vote on the competition website to choose their favourite poem from a selection of around ten finalist texts and determine the winner of the Travellers’ Grand Prize.

Benjamin Millepied, President of the 2026 Jury

In 2026, Benjamin Millepied, choreographer, stage director and former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, will chair the jury of the RATP Poetry Grand Prize .

Internationally renowned, he has created works for some of the world’s leading dance companies. His choreographic style, both classical and modern, is deeply inspired by music.

He succeeds Zabou Breitman, Augustin Trapenard, Raphaël, Isabelle Carré, Izïa Higelin, Vincent Delerm, Eddy de Pretto, Jeanne Cherhal, Amélie Nothomb, and Alexis Michalik.

Looking Back at the 2025 Edition of the RATP Poetry Grand Prize

With more than 13,500 poems submitted, the 11th edition of the competition once again confirmed the enthusiasm of people from the Île-de-France region (and even across France!) for poetry and their pleasure in sharing their words with travellers.

Throughout summer 2025, the winning poems were displayed in the Paris Métro, offering moments of poetic escape to passengers. They were also published in the collection of the 100 finalist poems, released in partnership with Éditions Bruno Doucey.
