You can go to an information desk or approach station staff, who are identifiable by their blue uniforms or green vests.

Validating your ticket
It is mandatory for all users to validate their tickets on each journey, across their selected transport modes. If you are travelling as a group or family, all passengers are required to validate their tickets individually.
Please keep your ticket with you until you exit the network, as you may need it during ticket inspections.
Tickets loaded on chip cards or on smart phones
Validate your ticket simply by tapping it on the reader.
Paper tickets
Insert your ticket into the reader slot and retrieve it from the slot on the other end before passing through the ticket gate.
Once your ticket is validated, the gates will open (automatic gates and/or turnstiles that you have to push).
Using wider service gates (for passengers with luggage or pushchairs, and for people with reduced mobility).
These users are also required to validate every journey.

Going towards a metro or RER line
Locate your line by its colour code, number (metro lines) or letter (RER lines), and its direction.
Then follow the arrows, which will lead you to the right platform.
Before boarding or alighting at the platform, confirm the direction (terminus) of the line, and the station you wish to reach on the detailed metro and RER line maps.
Transfers between lines are also indicated.

Obtaining information on your journey
All platforms have screens that indicate the direction (terminus), and waiting time for upcoming trains.
On the RER network, boards display the list of stations, and LEDs show the stations that are served.
Line maps are displayed above every train door.
On RER trains, LEDs indicate the stations that are served.

All exits have a number and an address.
If there is not enough space, only the exit number is shown. Locate your exit number on neighbourhood maps.
