New Signage and Redesigned Stations

In RER stations, metro and tram stations, bus stops, and on platforms… the Paris 2024 Games were everywhere! You probably noticed the pink signage and stations redesigned for the occasion. These installations were highly appreciated for their effectiveness.

Dedicated New Signage

With the colors of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games visual identity and as a complement to the existing one, brand-new pink signage was installed in passenger areas and aboard trains.

Its role? To facilitate movement, inform, and guide travelers as best as possible along the different routes to reach the Olympic and Paralympic sites across Île-de-France.

Accessible to all thanks to color schemes and contrasts designed for optimal visibility, several types of signage were created and installed in around 60 stations and stops. This included over 4,000 signs and 100,000 elements deployed across the Île-de-France Mobilités transport network.

Transformed Stations and Stops

You might have noticed: some metro stations and RER stops near Olympic sites were decorated for the Paris 2024 Games! Several Olympic and Paralympic sports were highlighted and displayed in large-scale formats on platforms and in transport areas.

Sporting, Cultural, and Digital Activities

Les Jeux dans le métro (The Games in the Metro)

During the Paris 2024 Games, RATP's TikTok account was renamed @lesjeuxdanslemetro, in collaboration with content creator Les Gens dans le Métro.

Each day, a video was shared capturing funny and quirky moments in public transportation: encounters between travelers and supporters, collective bursts of enthusiasm, interactions with RATP agents, amusing scenes… all these moments of life were captured on our TikTok account.

The RATP Stadium at Auber

For the Paris 2024 Games, the Auber station hosted the RATP Stadium. It was an opportunity to experience Olympic and Paralympic sports in a fun way. Travelers could try archery, badminton, handfit, as well as para badminton, wheelchair racing, and blind running.

Metro Musicians in Concert

During the Paris 2024 Games, several artists certified as "Metro Musicians" by RATP performed on the stage at the Terrasse des Jeux, in front of the Paris City Hall. It was an opportunity for supporters, who came to enjoy this entertainment venue, to discover artists from various backgrounds for free.

Top-Level Athletes Supported by RATP

Since 1982, the RATP group has supported French athletes in their dual career, both athletic and professional. Currently, six active athletes are part of this RATP High-Level Athletes program. Among them, four athletes have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games:

  • Marie Oteiza, Modern Pentathlon
  • Koumba Larroque, Wrestling
  • Jeffrey Lami, Para-athletics (guide)
  • Carlota Dudek, Breaking

A big congratulations to all of them, especially to Jeffrey Lami, who won the silver medal in the 400m T11 race with his blind teammate Timothée Adolphe!
