On 16 October 2025, RATP, on behalf of Île-de-France Mobilité, put the first MF19 train into service on line 10. Designed and manufactured by Alstom, this new-generation metro will gradually replace trains on seven other lines: 3, 3bis, 7, 7bis, 8, 12 and 13.
The MF19 will be more modern and will improve travel conditions for all passengers, offering greater comfort and safety, as well as on-board information services.
In order to accommodate these new trains and implement these services, it was necessary to adapt the metro infrastructure and deploy modernised, more efficient transport systems. This included tracks, platforms, station access, power supply, signalling and communication systems with the future MF19 trains.
This long-term project, which is being carried out in stages, will enable the renewal of 50% of the rolling stock and an overall improvement in the Paris metro transport service.
