What's new on line 6
The deployment of the new generation MP89 trains, financed by Île-de-France Mobilités, is ongoing. The adaptation of infrastructure to this new rolling stock and the modernization of facilities will be completed by 2026. This includes the modification of railway signaling systems in the Nation and Charles de Gaulle - Étoile areas, as well as on-track testing of the new train control system. These efforts contribute to the improvement of passenger service.

The heritage of line 6
Lines 2, 5, and 6 are characterized by structures (viaducts, pillars, arches, glass roofs, stairs, mezzanines) that have remarkably withstood the test of time. To maintain their usability, aesthetics, and durability, they are undergoing a preservation campaign, with renovation projects for stations or sections planned each year.
