In real life, it doesn't please everyone

"In real life, it doesn't please everyone" : RATP speaks out against everyday incivilities. Let us tell you about it !

Incivilities are multiplying

A unfolded scooter blocking in the train, excessively loud volume, people not allowing you to get off the train before they board... These are just some of the acts of incivility you may have witnessed during your journey.

Even minor gestures can become a nuisance to others: incivility is increasingly prevalent on the network, thus impacting the comfort of travelers.

Humor fosters collective awareness

The RATP stands alongside its passengers by tackling various instances of incivility encountered in public transportation. Designed with a humorous tone and infused with kindness, the campaign "In real life, not everyone likes it" targets all RATP users in the Île-de-France region to encourage them to adopt appropriate and respectful behavior while using public transportation.

7 good practices for everyone's comfort are highlighted in this campaign:

  • Turn off the speakerphone ;
  • Remove your backpack ;
  • Let others exit before boarding ;
  • Yield your seat to priority individuals ;
  • Fold your scooter ;
  • Keep the spaces clean ;
  • Limit the volume level.

"Traveling Together"

Established in 2022, the "Traveling Together" label establishes an agreement between passengers and the RATP, encouraging everyone to act for a better travel experience. Co-responsibility and education are essential, addressing topics that can affect traffic flow and passenger comfort, reminding everyone that they have a role to play.

In partnership with the @lesgensdanslemetro_ account, which showcases real unusual behaviors in public transportation, the RATP is collaborating to draw attention to these behaviors, which may seem amusing but impact the comfort of other passengers.
