• Under the age of 16 and their accompanying adult travelling as part of an educational, cultural, sporting or social outing organised by an association, local authority or public establishment
• Or secondary school pupils, including final year pupils, travelling in groups of 10 and accompanied by a teacher

How many accompanying adults?

• Group of 10 young people: 1 accompanying adult benefits from half-fare travel
• Group of 11 to 20 young people: 2 accompanying adults benefit from half-fare travel
• Group of 21 to 30 young people: 3 accompanying adults benefit from half-fare travel
• etc.

• Chaperones must carry a duly completed signed statement with them
• All the members of the group must travel together at all times
• Journeys cannot be interrupted and resumed with the same ticket.

Groups of at least 8 children and their accompanying adult(s) travelling on school, extracurricular and after-school outings organised by primary schools or leisure centres hosted by these schools.
