Lost or found luggage? Inform an RATP agent!

Lost or found luggage? Unattended bags? Quickly inform an RATP agent at the station. Every day, forgotten luggage in public transport disrupts the traffic. We'll explain why and how to react appropriately!

The safety of our passengers and RATP agents is our top priority, and we are all committed every day to ensuring smooth journeys for everyone. That's why we always take the report of unattended luggage seriously.

1 unattended bag = 1 hour of delay in traffic

Did you know that, on average, nearly 4 unattended bags are detected on the rail networks every day (from January to April 2022)? One hour is the average time the traffic is interrupted for each abandoned bag, as it takes to complete all the necessary verification steps.

Discover how the canine team works!

With the support of Île-de-France Mobilités, RATP implemented a scheme aiming to guarantee passenger safety through rapid intervention regarding unattended items. Its mission is to offer an alternative to the systematic intervention of police mine-clearing services.

As such, it strives to combine safety with smooth traffic by speeding up interventions on unattended items, thus accelerating the return to normal operations. RATP also has canine units ready to intervene throughout the railway network in the event that an unattended item intervention is required. Discover how the canine team works!

Use a QR Code label

QR Code labels are available in all metro and RER stations, to help you travel more safely and be contacted in case of loss. These QR Codes can be scanned by RATP and SNCF agents, are quick to set up, and allow you to remain anonymous.
