Summary
When an object is left unattended on the network (whether forgotten, simply abandoned, or left under suspicious circumstances), train services must be suspended as a safety precaution. Valuable minutes can then pass before services can resume. To minimize this waiting time and respond as quickly as possible, the canine unit patrols the stations most affected by this phenomenon.
Efficient and responsive teams: at Châtelet–Les Halles, intervention times do not exceed three minutes!
Since June 2017, this RATP and SNCF canine team operation has also been deployed at La Défense station.
